Our Work
Technology & Democracy Initiative
IGP’s Technology & Democracy Initiative conducts research into emerging technologies and how they influence our societies in an effort to incubate policy and practical innovations that bend the arc of technological progress toward democratic values. Combining insights from traditionally merged silos, the Technology & Democracy Initiative is on the cutting edge of shaping public understanding of the critical AI policy issues of our time.
Research on Online Harms
We develop research and policy solutions to understand the impact of technology on society, especially where definitions and frameworks remain nascent. We focus on four areas — AI and democracy, integrity of information ecosystems, child safety, and technology-facilitated gender-based violence.
Innovations in the Public Interest
We develop research and policy solutions that increase transparency, accountability, and public participation in technology to protect democratic values.
