Rob Threlkeld

Rob Threlkeld is pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Columbia SIPA with a concentration in International Security Policy and dual specializations in East Asia (Regional) and Technology, Media, and Communications. He was a member of the 2023-24 cohort of Columbia’s International Fellows Program. Prior to attending SIPA, Rob served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Rob is interested in how technical innovation can enhance democratic engagement and global stability. He previously worked at The Rockefeller Foundation, where he helped evaluate AI tools designed to improve social trust and enhance democratic governance. While a student at SIPA, Rob has worked as a research assistant for Professor Anya Schiffrin and currently serves as a program assistant for Ambassador Toria Nuland.
