Nicole Sims

Nicole Sims is a second-year dual-degree candidate at LSE and Columbia SIPA, where she is pursuing a Master in Public Administration. Nicole is interested in the effect of international policymaking in the domestic space. She comes to SIPA following professional experience in the national and international public sector.

Nicole previously worked on treaty development and implementation as a legal officer at the Hague Conference on Private International Law. Prior to this, she worked as a tipstaff (legal clerk) to a judge on the New South Wales Court of Appeal and as a policy adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (Australia), including in both the National Security and Health portfolios. She holds a bachelor of laws and bachelor of international relations from the Australian National University and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales (Australia).
