
Natalia Kanos

Biography
Natalia Kanos is pursuing her Master in Public Administration at Columbia SIPA with a concentration in Economic and Political Development and a specialization in Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis. Natalia currently interns with UNDP’s Regional Bureau for Africa, also serving as the president of the Black Student Union and as a representative on SIPA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
Natalia completed her undergraduate degree at George Mason University, earning a BA in government and international politics and conflict analysis and peace resolution. At GMU Natalia became the first female international student body president after running on an all-female ticket. Natalia was also an NCAA Division I rower and received the Sue Collins Leadership Award for Women in Sport. Her multidisciplinary background provides a deep understanding of global affairs and conflict analysis and resolution. As a native of Jos, Nigeria, Natalia’s passion lies in creating effective public policy for sub-Saharan Africa.
