IGP Scholar Muriel Jacques

Biography

Muriel Jacques is a first-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidate at Columbia SIPA, with a concentration in Climate, Energy, and Environment, and specialization in Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis. Originally from Martinique, she pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at INSA Lyon in France and KAIST in South Korea. After graduation, she worked as a consultant in Accenture's Energy Practice. In 2020, she pursued a Master in Management at INSEAD, between France and Singapore, to deepen her understanding of business and sustainability. In 2022, she joined McKinsey working on strategy, transformation, and decarbonization projects in the energy and heavy industries sectors. At SIPA, she aims to further learn how public and private sectors can collaborate to address climate change. 

Muriel's international experiences have fueled her love for discovering new cultures, cuisines, and music. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, surfing, cooking, dancing, and exploring random fun facts.
