Biography
Maxim is an aspiring leader in foreign policy and a Master of International Affairs (MIA) candidate at Columbia SIPA. He graduated from War Studies at King's College London with first-class honors, receiving the Associateship of King's College and the Sir Michael Howard Award for Excellence in BA War Studies. He has also spent a year in Tokyo, Japan, studying Indo-Pacific security.
Maxim is interested in foreign policy, national security, and multilateral diplomacy. His undergraduate research focused on Russia's foreign policy shift in the 21st century. Maxim has noteworthy national government experience from the Czech Ministry of Defence, the Czech Embassy in London, and the Czech Permanent Delegation to NATO. His active leadership, subject expertise, and strong track record mark him as a rising force in the world of international affairs. He serves as an Officer and Board Member at the Columbia European Union Student Association.
