Marie Miller

Biography
Marie Miller is a senior at Columbia College, majoring in Economics-Political Science and working toward a career in criminal accountability. Marie has interned with the Council on Foreign Relations and Columbia Law School's Center on Sustainable Investment, where she conducted research on community-based accountability methods responding to corporate contract abuse. Marie is director of the Economic Development Center and president of Columbia Academics in Foreign Affairs. In addition to serving as writer and lead editor for the Columbia Undergraduate Law Review, her foreign policy analysis most recently appeared in The Diplomat. While interning with the Under Secretary of State for Human Rights last summer, she helped shape US response to transnational repression of the Tibetan diaspora—an issue she is researching this summer with the Tibet Policy Institute in Dharamshala. Marie’s research is funded by the Saltzman Institute's Emerging Voices fellowship and the Harriman Institute's Padma Desai fellowship for related archival research in Mongolia.
