Biography
Malena Nigro is currently pursuing her Master in Public Administration (MPA) at Columbia SIPA as a Fulbright Scholar. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she holds a BA and an MA in History, from Torcuato Di Tella University and San Andrés University, respectively. Before coming to SIPA, she worked as a policy advisor at the National Ministry of Women, Gender, and Diversity in Argentina, created in 2019. She also worked extensively in the field of development in Latin America for the nonprofit sector and as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank and UNESCO. After she graduates, she plans to continue building her professional role as a bridge between rigorous research and policymaking, to advance the gender equity agenda.
