Lucía Suárez

Lucía Suárez is a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Global Leadership candidate at Columbia SIPA with over 10 years of experience in program management and policy formulation in governmental and NGO sectors. More recently, she has spearheaded initiatives at the National Democratic Institute, empowering marginalized groups, particularly with civil society, women, and LGBTIQ+ people to strengthen their political advocacy. She previously worked with different entities of the public sector in Colombia in prior consultation process with ethnic groups, social dialogue, and labor market policies. Her expertise includes strategic planning and project implementation, supported by a commitment to human rights. Lucía combines analytical rigor with a passion for community empowerment and social justice. Lucia holds a BA in Economics and MSc in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes
