IGP Scholar Jordanna Yochai

Biography

Jordanna Yochai is a Master of International Affairs (MIA) candidate at Columbia SIPA. She is concentrating in International Security Policy, with a regional specialization in Africa. She was a member of the 2023-2024 Columbia University International Fellows Program (IFP) cohort. Prior to SIPA, Jordanna served within the US Department of Defense, in both analytic and policymaking capacities. She also conducted research for the US Institute of Peace, the Middle East Institute, the Wilson Center, and the Chicago Project on Security & Threats. Jordanna’s research has been published by multiple outlets, including Iran Primer and the Islamists. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations. 

This year, Jordanna’s studies are supported by the the Victims of Pan Am Flight 103 Legacy Fellowship and the Women in Defense Scholarship. She is currently interning with the US Mission to the United Nations’ Military Staff Committee.
