Biography
Harry Reis is a third-year law student and public interest/public service fellow at Columbia Law School with special interest in constitutional and international law. Until 2021, he served as director of policy at the New Israel Fund, advancing civil and human rights in Israel-Palestine. As research associate to Ambassador Dennis Ross, Harry supported track-two diplomacy to advance Israeli-Palestinian final status negotiations. At Columbia Law, Harry has conducted legal research to help the Office of the New York State Attorney General hold drug manufacturers accountable for fueling the opioid epidemic and to stop arms manufacturers from selling “ghost guns.” At the Knight First Amendment Institute, he joined a team litigating against a leading spyware manufacturer for unlawfully outfitting the government of El Salvador with capabilities to surveil journalists. Harry graduated with a BA in history from Brown University and in 2017 was awarded the Dorot Fellowship in Israel. He lives with his husband, Aaron Loux GS ’25, in Harlem.
