Biography

Gillian Sagansky is a Master of Public Administration candidate, concentrating in humanitarian and security policy, with a regional focus on Eastern Europe and Russia. Her career spans media, corporate social impact, and crisis response.

She began her career at American Vogue and then at W Magazine as their contributing features editor, focusing on art and culture. She then moved to Berlin to work with Porsche, where she built one of the company’s flagship social impact initiatives: a mental health platform that combined a podcast ranked in the top 1% with live events and symposiums. The project provided her with an international platform to foster dialogue on mental health, connecting global leaders and audiences across business, culture, and policy.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Gillian shifted her focus to security and humanitarian response. She worked with a Polish NGO on communications and aid distribution during the first months of the crisis. She later supported an Estonian NGO with fundraising and the deployment of military vehicles and drones during aid convoys to Ukraine.

She graduated with honors from New York University with an individualized degree in Philosophy and Art History.
