IGP Scholar Cimrun Srivastava

Biography

Cimrun Srivastava is a Master of International Affairs (MIA) candidate studying Human Rights and International Conflict Resolution. Originally from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, she is passionate about advocacy and global equity. She graduated from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a focus on International Relations and Middle East Studies. 

She is interested in conflict resolution, post-conflict political development, and women and youth empowerment in governance. Cimrun is committed to community involvement and has served as a Commissioner in the Advisory Neighborhood Commission of DC as well as in leadership positions on campus. She has experience working in democracy development at the National Democratic Institute, as well as internship experience with human rights policy and peace-building work. She can read, write, and speak Arabic and Hindi with an elementary proficiency level.

She is a Pickering Fellow with the US State Department and will work as a diplomat after graduation.
