Chelsea Tabachnik

Biography
Chelsea Tabachnik is a senior at Columbia College, majoring in Political Science and specializing in American Politics and Political Theory. She is the president of Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honors Society, a John Jay Scholar, and recipient of the Phyllis Stevens Sharp Fellowship in American Politics. She currently works in the Columbia SIPA Dean’s Office. Last summer, Chelsea interned with the Institute of Global Politics, where she researched and wrote policy memos on US state paid leave laws and federal legislation along with US legislative and policy responses to technology-facilitated gender-based violence, including deepfake image-based sexual abuse. She has also worked for Fair Fight Action, Women for Biden-Harris, the UK Labour Party, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Representative Barbara Lee. Outside of her studies, Chelsea is a campus tour guide, helps with the new student orientation program, and works at the Columbia Daily Spectator.
