IGP Panel Discusses Potential for Foreign Interference in 2024 Election
On October 1, as part of the Institute of Global Politics (IGP) Election Series, a panel of experts convened to discuss the growing threat of foreign interference in the upcoming 2024 US election. The event, titled “The 2024 Election: The Threat of Foreign Interference,” brought together scholars and practitioners to examine recent cases of interference and explore potential countermeasures.
The panel was moderated by Timothy Naftali, IGP Faculty Scholar and CNN contributor, and featured Peter Clement, adjunct senior research scholar at SIPA’s Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies; Camille François, SIPA associate professor of practice of international and public affairs and IGP Affiliated Faculty; and Chad Sweet, former chief of staff to the second secretary of homeland security and an IGP Carnegie Distinguished Fellow.
