Mira Murati

Mira Murati most recently served as chief technology officer of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT and DALL-E. She led the company’s research, product, and safety teams, which worked together to create safe and powerful AI that benefits humanity and has a positive impact on the world. Mira and her teams pushed the frontiers of what AI can do, making it safer, and aligning it with human intentions and values.

Prior to joining OpenAI, she managed the product and engineering teams at Leap Motion, and led the design, development and launch of vehicle products at Tesla Motors, including the Model X, as well as innovative programs in aerospace. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Dartmouth Thayer School of Engineering.
