Chad Sweet

Chad Sweet is the CEO of The Chertoff Group, an advisory firm focused on national security and enterprise risk management. Sweet oversees the Firm’s consulting, M&A and private equity practices. Chad enrolled in Columbia College in 1987, was recruited during his Junior year by the CIA to a special part-time program and joined the Agency full time after graduating cum laude in 1991. Sweet later worked at the investment banks of Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. After witnessing 9/11 at Goldman’s New York headquarters, Sweet later returned to government where he served as Chief of Staff to the second Secretary of Homeland Security before cofounding The Chertoff Group.
