William Luo

William Luo is a junior in Columbia’s School of General Studies, majoring in Political Science. Prior to Columbia, William served in the US Army, working on information and psychological operations. He is interested in the impact of information and cognitive operations on national security and international relations, as well as US-China strategic competition.

William currently serves as a political affairs intern at the US Permanent Mission to the UN. On campus, he is president of the General Studies Student Council and has been active in the military veterans community, previously serving as secretary of Milvets and supporting community-building efforts.
