Will Carnoy

Biography
Will Carnoy is a junior at Columbia College, where he is transitioning from Economics to SIPA’s new Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) major. He serves as a research assistant at IGP, developing programming for midterm election events and researching the India-Middle East Economic Corridor (IMEC).
On campus, Will cofounded and serves as secretary of the Lion Sports Society, Columbia's first student-run sports business, media, and analytics group. He is also an active member of the AI in Finance Think Tank, where he explores the applications of AI in financial services. Previously, he interned at Continental Grain's 1813 Funds and Daps Bounty, where he built statistical models to identify high-potential buyers in the sports memorabilia market.
Will’s interests span global affairs, geography, finance, and the intersection of technology and policy. He has volunteered in Morocco and Ghana, contributing to community infrastructure projects and teaching English and soccer to local children. He hopes to pursue a career in consulting or politics.
