Theodore Zaritsky

Biography
Theodore was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and is a John W. Kluge Scholar at Columbia University studying economics and political science. He spent his junior year at the University of Oxford as a visiting student in philosophy, politics, and economics, where he also fenced foil for the men’s varsity team. Committed to a career in public service, he has supported the US Consulate General in Morocco and spent over a year at the United Nations, where he drafted speeches for the General Assembly and Security Council. At Columbia, he served as managing editor of the Columbia Political Review and worked as a research assistant to multiple professors at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies on projects related to counterterrorism strategy and international crisis behavior. Most recently, he conducted policy analysis at the Institute for Economics and Peace, supported by the Stanford S. Parker Prize. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and building wooden models.
