Sarah Bruce Senior

Sarah Bruce Senior is a Colombian architect, business administrator, and social entrepreneur pursuing an MPA at Columbia SIPA. Her work focuses on equitable territorial development and rural education.

As cofounder of Colombiando, Sarah leads research and partnerships focused on strengthening multigrade rural education across Colombia. Working with teachers, students, local governments, and community leaders, she has conducted fieldwork in diverse regions of the country to understand how education systems can respond to the unique realities of each territory. Her work is grounded in the belief that effective development strategies should build on local knowledge and the lived experience of communities.

Sarah's work has been recognized through the SIPA Global Policy Challenge. She is a recipient of the J. William Fulbright Scholarship, a Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship, and a Global Fellow in Courage. At SIPA, she serves as cultural chair of the Latin American Student Association and cofounded the SIPA Women’s Running Club.
