Molly Bordoff

Molly Bordoff is a senior at Columbia College studying international politics and history. She is passionate about international economics and national security, with particular interests in Latin America and the Middle East. Bordoff researched the growing global services sector on trade at the Council on Foreign Relations as an intern with the geoeconomics and Latin American studies team.

Bordoff is also interested in the intersection of foreign policy and journalism. She spent a summer as Foreign Affairs’ editorial intern, where she read and evaluated submissions to the magazine, pitched story ideas for commission, and developed her interest in international affairs editorial work. Bordoff also briefly worked as an editorial assistant with the Aspen Institute.

This past summer, Bordoff worked as a reporter for Barron’s as a fellow with the Dow Jones News Fund, an intensive financial reporting training program for early-career journalists, reporting on tariffs, trade, stock markets, economics, and commodities as well as presidential elections in Peru and Colombia and economic reforms in Cuba.

At Columbia, Bordoff serves as deputy news editor for the Columbia Daily Spectator and is a Saltzman Student Scholar.

Bordoff is also an avid backpacker and spent four weeks backcountry backpacking in Wyoming with the National Outdoor Leadership School.
