Biography
Hesper Lui is an MPA candidate at Columbia SIPA, concentrating in Technology Policy and Innovation. Her research examines legitimacy laundering and the impact of emerging technologies on public communication and the exchange of ideas.
Her background spans public policy, private sector communications, and interdisciplinary research in Hong Kong and New York. She previously worked at MSCI supporting ESG and climate-related communications. She has also conducted research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, exploring technology-enabled interventions and cultural factors that may influence neurodivergence in the global youth population.
Her broader research interests include AI governance, platform accountability, youth digital safety, and AI-enabled cultural preservation and exchange.
