Elyse Demkiw

Elyse Demkiw is a fourth-year student in the dual-degree program between Sciences Po Paris and Columbia University, specializing in economics and politics with a focus on the Middle East and Mediterranean. Her experience includes work at an early-stage fund mandated by the Ukrainian government and research for the International Finance Corporation. Most recently, she returned to Ukraine to bring foreign investment into its innovation ecosystem amid war. Drawing on her experience in volatile markets, Demkiw has conducted research that explores the intersection of shifting security realities, financial institutions, and private-sector engagement. She currently serves as an intern to the executive team at Razom for Ukraine, a leading US–Ukraine nonprofit advancing the country’s reconstruction and long-term development.
