Elliot Mur

Biography

Elliot Mur (he/him) is a second-year Master of International Affairs candidate concentrating in Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy and dual specializing in UN Studies and International Conflict Resolution. Elliot was born in France and is French-American; he has also lived in Canada, China, and Singapore. Prior to joining SIPA, Elliot pursued an undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in history at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Elliot's professional journey encompasses experiences at a refugee center for Eritrean refugees, engagements with UN Peacekeeping and UNDP, the European Parliament's 2021 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought, and finally, within the Child Protecting Systems Strengthening Unit of UNICEF. Elliot is pursuing a career in advocacy to address human rights isues and influence policy changes to protect affected populations.
