Conrad Hutchins

Biography
Conrad Hutchins is a senior at Columbia College studying political science and history. His academic interests include civil-military relations, democratic resilience, international security, and transitional justice. He has interned with the US Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute and the Africa Center for Strategic Studies, a research institute at the National Defense University. This past summer, he studied abroad in France at Sciences Po and in The Gambia. On campus, he serves as a managing editor for the Columbia Political Review and is also a Saltzman Student Scholar. For the last five years, he has taught English to teens in Haiti in collaboration with Jou Nouvo, a Haitian nonprofit. He enjoys playing tennis, visiting museums, and reading nonfiction and poetry.
