Clio Evelina Grana

Biography
Clio Grana is a senior at Columbia College, double-majoring in History and Economics. She is an MIA candidate concentrating in International Security and Diplomacy. Clio is interested in trans-Atlantic defense cooperation, military mobility, and Indo-Pacific security. As an intern for the US Department of Defense, Clio joined the George C. Marshall European Center to craft a course on security, deterrence, and defense for senior-level EU and NATO officers. She has interned as a research analyst at the UN World Food Program’s office of the executive director and was awarded the Navab Fellowship as a legal intern for Project Rousseau.
Grana is a research assistant at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies and at the International Center for Counter-Terrorism, where she focuses on counter-terrorism operations in the Sahel and Southeast Asia. Her research at these institutions has developed into multiple editorial projects for Anthem Press and Palgrave Macmillan. She is an annual contributor to the UN Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate’s Civil Society Panels. At Columbia, Clio is an editor for the Undergraduate Law Review, a committee leader for the Columbia Organisation of Rising Entrepreneurs, and a leadership council member of UN Columbia.
