Arthur Hoefliger

Arthur Hoefliger is a Master’s candidate in Political Science and a graduate of Columbia College with dual majors in Economics and Political Science. He is chair of the Pritzker-Pucker Trailblazer Fellowship and received the fellowship in 2023 for work on congressional policy at an education-focused non-profit. His work focuses on the intersection of national security, energy geopolitics, and counterterrorism, with a regional focus on the Middle East. He has worked at the Council on Foreign Relations’ (CFR) Development and Studies departments, and also held policy and finance roles at the Giffords Law Center for Gun Violence Prevention, Statecraft Equity Partners, and Innovation Capital. 

At Columbia, Hoefliger serves as president of United Nations Columbia, having previously served as Treasurer, and is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), CFR’s Young Professionals Briefing Series, and the United Nations Foundation.
